ACCOMMODATION AT THE PORT GAVERNE HOTEL

In the nineteenth century, Port Gaverne was a bustling trading port, and the Port Gaverne Hotel was a large inn, popular with villagers and ship workers. Today, our cosy inn remains, and it’s still the hub of the village. Our rooms have been transformed into quality en-suites without losing their traditional quirky character. No effort is spared on keeping you comfortable and making you feel at home. Access is via a narrow, fairly steep but very beautiful staircase. It’s how they built them backalong…

And the film set location? The hit series Doc Martin is regularly shot in Port Isaac and Port Gaverne.

Rooms at the Inn…

We have 15 en-suite bedrooms comfortably furnished, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. No two are the same – you’ll find antique furniture, nooks and crannies, a wonderfully comfortable bed.

All rooms offer free WIFI, full Sky TV, Nespresso coffee machines, tea-making facilities, toiletries and slippers. You can relax in our popular bar, or sit outside on our large terrace or in our sunny beer garden.

Please note: Port Gaverne is very old and access to most rooms is up quite a narrow, steep staircase. This is fine for most of our guests, but if you’re concerned it may be a problem, please call us on 01208 880 244 to discuss your requirements.
